The need to integrate basic and clinical medical research has been widely and repeatedly discussed, but successful collaborations are rare. One of the reasons for this is that not much research has been carried out on the integration of basic research and clinical medicine. I was a member of the Institute for Enzyme Research, University of Tokushima, which is an only one Institute for Enzyme Research in Japan and has been carried out collaboration with basic and clinical medicine researchers throughout Japan to find out the causes of the diseases and the treatments of them. By using my academic research backgrounds in Tokushima University, I would like to promote fusion research between basic medicine and clinical medicine with AMERIC researchers to benefit society by developing measurements and therapeutic drugs to solve various medical problems. AMERIC is a Venture Company established by the Tokushima University with support from the Japan Science and Technology Agency's. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
